St. Paddy's Day

Top o' the mornin'...or however that saying goes...and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

As I am Irish and an Irish step dancer, I thought it would be cool if I could dream up an Irish Dance version of "Electricity." How awesome would THAT be??

Now I just need to choreograph it...in honor of St. Pat.

By the way, I wonder if they have Shamrock Shakes here?

Go wear some green!!

Phantom & Fun with Chores

Hi! Once again, we were lucky enough to see some great West End theatre: Phantom of the Opera!!!! Only one word to describe it: AMAZING. I thought Wicked was my favorite musical (well, aside from BETM), but I liked this one even more.

The actors were so good and I couldn't believe the incredible voice that the actress who played Christine had. She sang SO high...wow! (The diva and Raoul were great singers, too.) The music was fantastic. The sets were crazy. It was unbelievable how much they could fit on one stage!! The special effects were pretty cool...we didn't know how they pulled off some of the fiery scenes. It was a great night out!!!

This has been an unusual few weeks, with all the shows I've been able to see. Mostly when we have time off, we'll go to the park or go shopping. Sometimes, we'll play board games together or just watch TV. We all get along really well and even enjoy doing chores (ew) together.

Here's a shot of a few of us cleaning up after lunch:

We find ways to have some fun...no matter what we do!

P.S. Josh has a really cool digital belt on in the pic. If you're wondering, it said "REBEL." (But he wasn't rebelling in the kitchen!)

Stomp! and a New Billy

I went to see the show Stomp this weekend and loved it. The sounds all the actors created with the weirdest things...like garbage cans, kitchen sinks, plastic bags, plungers...and made them into real "instruments" were amazing! And all the beats were so clear, you could hear every part. Everyone in that show was excellent. So cool!!

Also, we have a new Billy in the house...{drum roll}...Hogan Fulton! He arrives today and will meet everyone. (I already met him last summer in New York City, so we're friends already.) He's gonna be awesome as Billy, so I'm really glad he's coming to join us.

More soon...

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Hi, Grandma:

Happy Birthday! Even though we're far apart, I think about you every day. You have always been my strength and support, and you still are! I hope you have a great birthday.

Love,
Trent

My Weekend

Hey...Thanks for all the bday wishes everyone! That was really cool to read all those messages.

Speaking of birthdays, it was our Billy house mother's this weekend. Layton & I cooked up a full English breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, beans & mushrooms for her. It came out so good, we made a cake too. Layton, btw, is really good in the kitchen. (His hidden talent??)

I saw the show Les Mis on Saturday. It was so cool! You should see it if you haven't yet. The barricade is huge! And Gavroche would be a fun part to play, until he...nah...I don't wanna give it away!!

Anyway, more blogging soon. My sister is coming to visit in a few weeks with my parents (she's an Irish dancer too and is competing in Ireland). Yeah!!

Irish Dance Rewind

Before Trent was performing in Billy Elliot, he was competing in Irish step dancing in the US and Europe. In fact, he's the youngest American male to win his title at the World Irish Dancing Championship, at age 11!

Here's some pictures of Trent (with some famous faces) celebrating his achievements:
