More Answers!!

Hi everyone!

Here's answers to some of your BETM on Broadway questions and some pictures from our first week of rehearsals:

Will performing Billy on Broadway be much different to performing Billy in London?

I think it'll be total different because I'll be with my parents in my hometown!

What is your favourite style of dance? And what do you plan to do after performing in Broadway?

My favorite style of dance is tap. I still want to be on the Broadway stage when I get older!

When you come back to NY to do BETM on broadway will you be living at home or at a brand-spanking new Billy House? When you were London, did someone make all the dinner (and I literally mean the dinner that comes after lunch!) and if yes, is there a menu like school lunch?

Back in London, we did have a hot lunch cooked for us, but for Broadway, we're all still trying to figure out our housing.

Who do you share a room with in the Billy house?

I started as roommates with Sam, Sean and Corey, and by the time I left, I was with Layton and Hogan! With Billys retiring and leaving for Australia and a house change, it was always different.

Other than your friend David Bologna, do you know who else will be playing the role of Michael on Broadway?

Here's a picture of them! All three Billys, along with two Broadway Michaels, David Bologna and Frank Dolce:

We all come from Irish dance schools! Here's proof:

Cool news

A quick update on some cool things ...

Just spoke to my dad. He works in New York City and says that he can tell work is going on inside the Imperial Theatre (future home of BETM). Apparently they're tearing the stage apart to make room for all the sets, like Billy's bedroom. (If you've seen the show, you know what I'm talking about!!)

Second cool thing is I just learned that my friend David who was also an Inishfree step dancer was cast as Michael on Broadway!! (Small world ...right?!)

My mom says she has some pictures of us dancing in the 2005 North American Nationals. If they're not too embarrassing (you know how moms with cameras can be!!), I'll post some later.

Bye!!

St. Paddy's Day

Top o' the mornin'...or however that saying goes...and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

As I am Irish and an Irish step dancer, I thought it would be cool if I could dream up an Irish Dance version of "Electricity." How awesome would THAT be??

Now I just need to choreograph it...in honor of St. Pat.

By the way, I wonder if they have Shamrock Shakes here?

Go wear some green!!

Irish Dance Rewind

Before Trent was performing in Billy Elliot, he was competing in Irish step dancing in the US and Europe. In fact, he's the youngest American male to win his title at the World Irish Dancing Championship, at age 11!

Here's some pictures of Trent (with some famous faces) celebrating his achievements:
